The quality of the wood is great. Color is true to picture. But there were no predrilled holes for the lid hinges. It's lucky we have an engineer in the house otherwise I never would have been able to connect the lid to match the back of the box. If no holes are predrilled then the lid should be screwed on before the box is put together because it's too hard to do after assembly and needs two people. The child safety hardward holds the lid up and must be pressed down and doesn't allow the top to close completely. I thought it was supposed to close slowly. Not the case here.

Product was shipped fast, arrived within 4 days so I was pleased. But when we started to assemble it, we had all the wrong pieces!!! All four sides were not cut correctly and were all made for the left side. This thing is completely ridiculious. When you pay this much money for something it should be sent correctly! The wood is rough instead of smooth and finished unlike the picture! Now we have to ship it back which could take up to 7 days and then wait another 4-6 weeks for them to ship me the correct toy box back. Also parents the box is very small, it looks alot bigger then it actually is on the website. It barely fits anything, and if your kids are like mine, they have many many many toys and not even 1/8 of my daughters toys fit in this box. The only good thing I can think about this toy box is that it is a very appealing color of wood! Nothing else .... I DO NOT recommend this product! Go to [@] instead! Cheaper, bigger, easier to assemble!!
