The letters are made from solid maple cutouts that measure 4 inches high, and are centered across the front of the toy box. Your choice of upper and lower case letters. Beautiful piece but the hardware/construction design was poor. Thought it would be delivered assembled and sturdy; NOT. I wanted to give my 2 year old something he would keep for life. It is wobbly after assembly.

Beautiful espresso finish. The personalization is etched in the wood (not paint) so little monsters will not wear this down after years of play. Its just gorgeous and very functional. I was looking for a toy box that was more of a piece of furniture to go in our TV area. I searched for weeks. This one is worth every penny. I love it.

We purchased this toy box for our daughter -- her first toy box. It's a great size and the cedar base was worth the extra cost -- it smells so good.
My husband put it together with little issue -- though some of the pre-drilled holes actually needed a little widening to actually accommodate the screws. Our only complaint is that there were a few small nicks/scratches on a couple panels when we opened the box. I assume this is normal when something is packaged and shipped but we expected our daughter to give the box its first dings. Overall, it's a high quality toy box that a child can grow with and keep for a very long time. It would even make a great hope chest.
