Safety is primary so little hands are not smashed by a lid that doesn't stay up. We have 2 Great grandchildren and have bought each one a toychest from you. The back has a place to put a name and we have carved a plaque with each boys name and placed it on the back. No bickering about whose toys go where!
Very sturdy. The 6 year old has used his for the past 4 years and it's still great.

Product is much more red than shows in picture. I would have returned it if it wasn't such a hassle to disassemble, pack it back up and ship it off again...so we'll make do. Aside from that, it looks half decent in our family room and it doubles as an end table. Not made of high quality materials (not real wood?)- I only expect for it to last for a year or two. On the plus side, it holds many toys so they are not all over our family room and it's nice to be able to set drinks and books on (end table). Our daughter (12 months) can easily get in and out of it and the hinges on the top prevent it from slamming on her.

Bought 2 , the cherry was fine. The white, The veneer cracked when the screws were tightened . The slots for the panels when assembled were to tight and had to be forced into place.

Only took me about 20 min. to put together .Only needed a Phillips head driver as it came with a Allen wrench. Just made one mistake. Put the lid on before you tighten up side.

When I put toybox together, as I am closing the lid. Screws went flying off! These were screws that were already there, Ones that came with the lid, I did not put screws there! Also the holes were sopose to be predrilled for hinges and were not on one side. This has been a horrible experiance! I am returning item!

This is a beautiful piece of furniture which stores my son's toys neatly and doubles as an extra sitting area as well. The safety closure ensures that little fingers and heads wont be injured as well. We couldn't be more pleased!! Thank you!
