Most of Prepac's RTA products are made from a combination of "engineered woods." Engineered Wood is a mixture of high quality hard and soft wood materials, which generally come from the surplus of original lumber processing. These materials are bonded together with a synthetic resin, in a process under high heat and pressure to make a very stable, environmentally friendly product. The result is dense, strong panels, which are then laminated with durable, attractive finishes.

Products are Flat Packed (Ready to Assemble) and complete assembly is required. Each unit comes with detailed assembly instructions and one person can assemble most of them in well under an hour.
We recommend that you simply wipe your units with a clean, damp cloth, and then dry immediately with another clean cloth to maximize the life span and appearance of your product. This product has a laminate finish, and should not be painted or varnished. If liquid is spilled and quickly wiped up, no damage will be done to your unit. However, continuous exposure to liquids or high humidity may cause damage to the board.

The item comes in 2 boxes... they sent the same 2 boxes so a week later it is still not together. The shipping company does not have good communication skills. One should not have to call 6 times in order to get a simple issue resolved.
In the end I hope that what they do send is the right one and I can finally use the dresser.

I get great complements on the drawer, though the drawers don't roll smoothly and they are a little crooked. When I was putting it together the wood of the drawers split on two drawers. So FLIMSEY!it looks nice, but they need to make it stronger. I felt ilke i was putting together parts from a big wooden coffee stirrer - again, flimsey. it does look nice though and doesn't take up much room.

I was so excited to get this product. The one thing that disappointed me was the material used for the backing and the bottom of each shelf. It's that compressed almost cardboard-like material which is kind of flimsy.
Also, if you don't have a power screwdriver or extra hands putting this dresser together will take well over three hours to build.
Other than the above, this dresser looks beautiful, fits perfectly in my bedroom (which is tiny) and gives me a lot more space for my clothes!

I bought this for my daugher's very small NYC 1-bedroom apartment. The size and look are perfect and assembly quite easy, thanks to very good tooling. Everything aligned perfectly. It's mostly constructed of very light pressboard, and the materials used were quite disappointing, even for the price.
