Took some time to assemble. The only solid wood is the top,
drawer fronts and front legs. Rest of chest is made of cheap
engr wood. Rear leg fell off by just moving chest in place
against wall. I contacted Hayneedle and they were very helpful
and said that I could send it back for credit. I decided to
keep it (for a spare bedroom) and make the repair on the rear
leg. I have bought many items from Hayneedle that were of
good quality and will continue to buy from them.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Pretty nice piece but NOT all hardwood as we believed. Draw sides, back and bottoms made of fiber board. Came in many pieces and took some time to put together. Not overly difficult but more than I expected. Draw sizes are actually smaller than the front panels.

Was really disappointed that the drawer sides were so short. They're only about 3 in tall. Height does not match drawer fronts. Not enough room to stack things.

I bought this for my 8 year old son to replace a dresser from [...] that was falling apart. The description implies that most of the dresser is wood or wood product. The bottoms of the drawers and the back of the dresser seem like they will not hold up over time. Also, the drawers are not as tall as I would have thought they would be by the dimensions and picture. The inside of the drawer is about half the height of the front panel on the drawer. This is not "heirloom" quality as the description says it is.
